Andrew Sullivan argues that the obstruction section of the Mueller Report details such gross corruption that Trump should be immediately impeached. But he nonetheless acknowledges these indisputable facts nymag.com/intelligencer/…
The NYT column from @DouthatNYT makes a similar point. The Mueller Report revealed what was long clear: Trump is a venal, corrupt, pathologically dishonest narcissist. But he wasn't in a conspiracy with or agent of Russia, as so many news reports depicted nytimes.com/2019/04/20/opi…
In sum: even those who hate Trump & want him impeached for obstruction are, if they're being remotely honest, required to acknowledge that almost every key claim from the Trump/Russia conspiracy drowning US discourse for 3 years was rejected by the Mueller Report. Just read it:

As someone who was one of the first & most vocal proponents of various conspiracy theories about Trump & Russia - including writing a whole book about it with @DavidCornDC - @Isikoff has been one of the very few willing to talk about what the media got wrong, how and why. Kudos:
One of the most important moments on cable news in the last 2 years: @Isikoff explaining clearly - on MSNBC no less! - why the Stone indictment should have been viewed as disproving huge parts of the conspiracy if the media were being minimally rational
As soon as Mueller made clear that Trump officials had no idea what WL had & therefore needed Roger Stone to try to find out - in the *weeks* before WL published - that, as @Isikoff said, disproved the Steele Dossier & the conspiracy theories. Why didn't the media point that out?

This "victory lap" language is such bullshit. It's called holding powerful media factions accountable for their falsehoods. If Mueller had found a vast Trump/Russia conspiracy & arrested Trump Jr & Kushner as predicted, they'd be crowing about it for years & demanding apologies:
When major media outlets spent 18 months spreading false conspiracies after 9/11 about Saddam, self-criticism and reform were vital. Some did it and some didn't. But it had nothing to do with "victory laps." News outlets demand accountability from others & provide none themselves

3/ The means to hold Trump accountable for corruptly profiting from the Presidency (for the same acts as under the Emoluments Suit) is prosecution under 18 USC 201 (b) and (c): the Federal Bribery Law. This law provides criminal penalties for accepting gifts for official acts 👉
