Muslims never fully ruled over the Indian peninsula, and Islam's records were so horrendous and synonymous with cultural and literal genocide and decline of all that was actually dignified and majestic - that the majority fought to resist it and thereby preserved civilization.
Such a distorted and bigoted view of "dignity and majesty" ascribed only to Islam is typical and most revealing of the underlying deep hatred and denigration of the non-Islamic in every leadership claimant of Islam - shows where it concerns the non-Muslim Shia or Sunni -converge.
Khameini's comment is symptomatic of the core attitude of Islam towards non-Islamic civilizations and cultures -the arrogant posturing and demand of supremacy and the obsession with dominance, denying non-islamic civilizations their long existence, contributions, and resplendence
I have said it elsewhere, and will say it again because of this abominable denial of pre/non-Islamic India - In a few generations Iran will overthrow, with violence, the totalitarian rule of the Ayatollah-state, and return to their pre-Islamic Persian Airanya heritage.
I was rather neutral towards Iran in my comments: but I now feel compelled to support Trump admin's increasing screws on the Ayatollah-state, and which even its aging wily Rustam of a commander wont be able to protect in the long run. My Iranian exile friends will understand.
