1/ On the same day Donald Trump continues his revanchist, unhinged ragetweeting about the press being enemies of the people and demanding public apologies from journalists, he's meeting with @jack.

2/ Sure, it's very difficult to say "no" quotes to a meeting with the President, even this madman.

That said, I truly hope @Jack and the @Twitter execs who took this meeting understand that they just got played hard by a master con man.

3/ They just put their brand, its image, and, hell, their equity in the hands the man who will corrupt anything he can.

He's the ultimate master of special pleadings.

He will characterize their commitments to him in ways they can't walk back.

4/ No amount of submission to his will is ever sufficient. His attacks on the platform will never cease, even though he derives the bulk of his political power from it.
