The false self will always reveal itself in the search for the true self.

How will you meet this version of you when that arises?

..with fear, shame and rejection or with curiosity about the strategies that you developed and the ways you have had to perform in order to survive?
One of the biggest signs of the unintegrated self is our relationship with rejection. If rejection triggers fear so deep that at part of you feels something bad will happen if someone doesn’t accept you, this is not even about that person. This is a childhood survival wound.
If the idea of rejection feels like threatening to you ask
..why do I need this particular person to see and accept me.
..what exactly does this person represent for me.
..what unmet childhood need am I looking for in this person.
..and how can I meet this need for myself.
Ask, did this person actually reject me or am I re-creating a story putting them in as a character in my narrative.

I often find people with this wound will reject others first to avoid a possibility of getting hurt. The mind says, I will reject them first so they cant reject me
The fragility of self worth becomes its own self fulfilling prophecy.
**life threatening...
