Here's a look at how @bitfinex is managing its #BTC internal liquidity on-chain
today.

THREAD 👇
1/ First comes the 17.2K BTC ($89M) withdrawal from the @bitfinex cold wallet (as also reported by @TheBlock__) which actually was transferred to a Bitfinex-controlled hot wallet.
2/ Next up was a smaller 4K BTC ($20M) transfer to another @bitfinex controlled wallet designated for customer withdrawals.
3/ This @bitfinex customer-withdrawal address services many customer withdrawals. There were a lot more customer withdrawals than shown in the image. 🤑🤑🤑
4/ The customer deposit wallet is then topped-up by single-use hot wallets, which had the remainder of the funds from the previous cold wallet withdrawals
Takeaway: When does an exchange move $89M worth of BTC from its cold wallet? During intense liquidity crunches - i.e 'bank-run' type days like today. 💰

I show that Fidesz and Smer did not ‘just’ adopt restrictive asylum positions but justified them with nativist narratives of defense/threat to ‘Nation’ from constructed 'Others' and ideas. RR originals, even in HU, were however able to react by ‘repackaging’ their nativist supply

Second, whereas EU officials follow Westminster's dynamics and understand that that there is no parliamentary majority for a no-deal scenario they are also speeding up preparation for this outcome - as it could happen even by accident

Years ago, I used to say the best time to have money is when you’re young and can enjoy it. Now, I’ve realized that you need money more when you are older. Kids, retirement etc. Don’t be desperate. You don’t have today, you can have tomorrow & still enjoy life.

There is no latecomer in the “success world” or “rich world”. Whenever you get there, you are welcome. You will enjoy your life and almost forget you ever suffered. It doesn’t have to be now and there is no prize for being the first person to get “there”.
When I was in my teens and early twenties & a bit of late twenties, I used to marvel at how some of my age mates were enjoying life. I felt I would never catch up and they were already ahead of me. Tah! There is nothing like that. Today, none of us remembers who succeeded first.

Quite amusing that the north-south debate over public finances has been taking place with complete disregard to Public Finance theory itself. Guess it shouldn't be surprising but let me attempt anyways.. #thread
First of all, I'm no expert in the subject. Much of what I know comes from a few textbooks and by listening to Gurus like Dr M Govinda Rao. All mistakes are my own and I'll be happy to learn if I'm going wrong somewhere.
Now any federal system faces one issue. States have more responsibilities but their earnings are less. Which means the only way they can work is by depending on money transfers from the union.
