Leading UN scientists say we need to reduce emissions globally 40-60% by 2030 in order to avoid the worst impacts of climate change & get to net-zero emissions globally by 2050.
To achieve that, the US must do much more, much faster.

Beto claims to support the Green New Deal, but his plan is out of line with the timeline it lays out and the scale of action that scientists say is necessary to take here in the United States to give our generation a livable future.
If @BetoORourke wants to earn the support of young people he needs to show he’s ready to stand up to the oil and gas lobby and push for the scale and speed of action we need through a #GreenNewDeal and by signing the #NoFossilFuelMoney Pledge.
Transforming our economy over a decade won't be easy, but if we fall short of these goals, the consequences will be unimaginable: by 2050 there could be 100 million climate refugees, all the world's coral reefs could be gone, and tens of millions could die.
Some say it's not possible, but when did America become a country that was afraid to take on big challenges and do what’s necessary, even when we’re told it’s not possible?
