So, Barr's bottom line on this letter from Robert Mueller, which he managed not to mention at all at his prior hearing, is that it was "snitty" and "probably" not written by Mueller. Who signed it.
Barr's statement that the letter "was probably written by one of [Mueller's] staff people" sets up an interesting conflict w Barr's earlier explanation today as to why he didn't discuss the letter in his 4/9 testimony. Earlier, he said it was bc Crist asked about Mueller's staff.
So, was the letter a Mueller letter, which showed Mueller was unhappy with Barr, and not about the staff — or was it a "snitty" staffer who wrote it and, if so, why did Barr not mention it on the 9th?
