So now we have Orban at WH on 5/13, Pompeii with Putin in 🇷🇺 5/14, Mueller talking to Congress/public 5/15. My beans are on some kind of express realignment for a joint surprise war.
Who’s the target? Iran? Venezuela? Nope. What I’m about to say is gonna sound nuts. And I hope I’m wrong. But ....

Putin’s going to openly invade and annex Ukraine on May 14. USA (pompeo) & Hungary (Orban) will expressly support. Trump will move troops, create chaos on 5/15.
Thus, throwing cloud of chaos over Mueller’s testimony.

I’d move that 5/15 date up, Bobby Three Sticks.
And I’d bet this is exactly what Putin and Trump planned out in their recent phone call.

On that ominous note, I’d like to talk about the order of succession for a bit. Next in line is VP Pence, of course. Let’s say Trump and Pence are simultaneously impeached and removed. Do you know who’s next in line?
That’s right. @SpeakerPelosi would become POTUS.

I support healthy debate about timing of impeachment. But to those who are making it ALL about Nancy - have you considered the optics of having her lead the impeachment charge? In light of the succession order?
Whatever the timing of impeachment, it is not appropriate for it to be seen as a Pelosi idea. And although I do think formalizing an impeachment inquiry is ripe, and could be done NOW without rushing the House vote, I also think there are reasons to wait.

Any enforcement order should prominently mention Trump’s public vow to “fight all the subpoenas.” And the Mnuchin episode, in light of that, does not need to include as many second chances.
Trump, as Barr and Mnuchin’s boss, has declared himself at war with the concept of congressional authority.

His acts through Barr/Mnuchin have effectively dissolved Congress.

No, that is not hyperbole.

Absent stern enforcement, @HouseJudiciary is now an imaginary body.
Wednesday’s vote is not a picayune debate about Barr. It’s a measure of whether Congress and its authority still exist. Of whether our system of government still exists, or whether it’s already been dissolved by our apathy.

Do .... do you suppose WH can’t find anyone on staff willing to risk the criminal complicity of touching Trump’s calls to Putin with a 10 foot pole?

Because if I were the lawyer for any of those staffers, I’d counsel them to run like hell away, if asked to perform that task.
No, I’m serious. What if you’re given a readout from Trump himself that you suspect to be false, and part of a criminal coverup? And are asked to parrot it? Or if the call is recorded, and you decide not to tell the public about the parts that refer to crimes?
I mean, its not slam dunk accomplice culpability, but I sure wouldn’t advise MYSELF to get involved in Trump’s interactions with Putin, or any of his cutouts or agents.

Not defending, just possibly explaining.

1. What's stopping @RepJerryNadler from issuing #Mueller subpoena?
Is it #ExecutivePrivilege? The idea that there is executive privilege over Mueller testifying in congress is beyond absurd. Executive privilege is to protect Presidential communications with advisers.
2. This was a criminal probe of the President. There is no possibility that Executive Privilege attached especially where it's likely he took the 5th. This is a red herring.
3. Grand Jury Rule 6(e)? Barr can easily obtain a waiver from Beryl Howell the DC chief judge. Again nonesense.
National Security? Sure, that's what redactions are for.

1. Why is #Putin moving so fast to absorb #Belarus and finish off US allies in #Syria? Because two people know what Putin did during 2016: Putin and Mueller. Trump is too much a fool for Russians to have trusted him with everything. Just enough to expose him to major crimes.
2. Putin's SVR and GRU run signals intel all over DC. They are picking up @realDonaldTrump's minions on their cell phones and emails. They know Mueller is close. Also, I think GRU may have hacked the US DC CM/ECF system. I observed some very odd stuff on the docket on Thursday.
3. IMO cases that are coming will name many members of @SenateGOP @HouseGOP and impact three large law firms in DC & NY. The amount of signals traffic from all this would be huge. Many lawyers think email is secret. Even think their cell phones are safe. So silly.

Now that Russia drained Eastern Ukraine of 2 million Ukrainians and local resources, Putin proposes a “referendum” to Trump at Helsinki summit. Maybe Putin’s tired of funding the criminal fiefdoms his invasion established. I’ll never forget how they desecrated the ruins of MH17.

Maybe he knows one of Mueller’s lines of investigation led to him. And he knew staying in that position of power was too steep a conflict of interest in light of the overwhelming and damning facts against Trump he may have gotten wind of.

Who’s to say the SC office hasn’t ‘already’ secretly conferred with the Justices over the Constitutionality of this Trump debacle?
