I don't agree with the entire Bannon piece but have long noted this is a fundamental dispute. China is at economic war with the United States and other countries and really makes absolutely no bones about this. They state it openly. Furthermore, it is height of 1/n
naivety to believe that China is not a fundamental opposition in its economic and political model. This is not the liberal democracy of Japan or Europe that we are in conflict with here but a brutal oppressive closed authoritarian centrally owned and or managed economy. 2/n
This like saying a stronger USSR or DPRK that engages in trade is good for the United States. The continued unwillingness of DC and NYC to recognize the reality of what the world faces simply boggles the mind. I know my mentions are going to light up (and not in a good way) 3/n
Bannon is right that the ultimate end goal has to be the end of the CCP ruling over China. You don't hope to build up Kim Jong Un. You don't hope to build up Putin. Why is it so hard for some to recognize the obvious that yes, we hope for the collapse of the CCP? Done.
