I'm in two minds about this move by the LibDems. On the one hand, it's brilliant to see such a clear anti-Brexit message. On the other hand, going for "Bollocks to Brexit" as the official campaign slogan (with "Stop Brexit" backup) coarsens the dialogue.

This is not (just) prudishness. We have already seen politicians like Trump, Farage and many others using expressions that only a few years ago no mainstream politician would. So it seems a retrograde step to join them in the mud. But at least it's clear and unambiguous!
Plus there's an added consideration that millions of "Bollocks to Brexit" stickers have been plastered all over the place by enthusiastic anti-Brexit protesters, often with little consideration for legality. The LibDems risk being associated with that sort of low-level vandalism.
Again, top marks for the strong, clear stance. But I can't help thinking this may backfire...
And then there's Ofcom's take: "Bollocks: Medium language, potentially unacceptable pre-watershed. Not generally offensive but somewhat vulgar when used to refer to testicles. Less problematic when used to mean 'nonsense'" Could make news bulletins tricky.

Crazy Friday proposal: situate the new (temporary) Parliament building near Heathrow. Reasonable connections to London, accessible from other parts of the UK (or at least certainly no less so than Westminster) and once the Elizabeth Line opens will be even easier to get to.
Shop around, and acquire (or lease for a few years) one of the hotels inside the free bus zone around Heathrow, one with a large enough central conference space to convert into a debating chamber. Keep a few bedrooms as bedrooms, turn the rest into offices and meeting spaces.
And at the end of the period (which, let's face it, will be longer than predicted because you can bet the renovation of the Palace of Westminster will over-run) it can be turned back into a hotel.

Interesting opinion piece about how the decision to build a very temporary place for MPs to meet while the Palace of Westminster is renovated (at a cost of over half a billion pounds) seems to have been made with basically zero scrutiny. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
How much better would it be to spend that money on a new permanent home designed to modern standards, and with a non-confrontational seating arrangement rather than the current one designed to facilitate face-offs? The PoW could be restored and preserved for the nation.
And imagine if that new home incorporated the latest in biometric readers all over the building, so MPs could confirm their identities definitively and vote without all having to traipse into narrow lobbies like cattle being herded into pens? Would encourage more participation.

Been engaged in a long thread with @0Calamity and others with the common Corbynite theme:
"But what can Corbyn do? He's not in power"
For a "popular movement" there seems to be a lack of awareness of how they work.
So, what *can* he do?
2) well firstly we need to recognize two fairly obvious things.
a) unfortunately, 80% of our current MPs are, well, sheep. They follow, especially public opinion, they don't lead
b) the prerequisite for stopping Brexit is public opinion. This *must* be shifted or it won't stick
3) this is when Corbynistas chime in & say "look at the polls,enough people haven't shifted, if Corbyn opposed Brexit it would be political suicide"

Putting to one side the "party before country" bias which is obvious to any non Labour supporter, isn't this what Labour is about?

1. The greatest insult to Britain is the promotion of the narrative that any of Vote Leave's activities had any bearing on the result whatsoever. It was probably the most ineffectual campaign in the history of British campaigning. VL had no idea how to run a #Brexit campaign.
2. In the run up to the vote the VL twitter feed was photos of mostly white, mostly middle class 19 year old boys in red t-shirts manning deserted stalls in the Home Counties which had zero online impact.
3. Of the street level activism, no not roll-up smoking, flat cap wearing elderly Yorkshireman on a rainy Wednesday in Castleford street is going to have his mind changed by a clean shaven Toryboy bussed in from London.
