Crazy Friday proposal: situate the new (temporary) Parliament building near Heathrow. Reasonable connections to London, accessible from other parts of the UK (or at least certainly no less so than Westminster) and once the Elizabeth Line opens will be even easier to get to.
Shop around, and acquire (or lease for a few years) one of the hotels inside the free bus zone around Heathrow, one with a large enough central conference space to convert into a debating chamber. Keep a few bedrooms as bedrooms, turn the rest into offices and meeting spaces.
And at the end of the period (which, let's face it, will be longer than predicted because you can bet the renovation of the Palace of Westminster will over-run) it can be turned back into a hotel.

George Osborne sees 2nd referendum as 2 choices: "My guess is that we’ll end up with just two: no deal or no Brexit. For leaving with a deal is dead. The numbers in the Commons aren’t there for Theresa May’s deal; and the EU won’t negotiate a new deal with a new Tory leader..."
He may be on to something. The Brexit Party and others will fight until the end of time anything that's not a "pure" Brexit as they see it (ie damaging no deal). But if it's a straight up "Remain vs No Deal" they have nothing to complain about, though I'm sure they will anyway.
And that utterly stark choice should motivate companies to come off the fence and take an active political stance, or risk the asteroid strike of no deal, entirely forewarned that's the consequence. So the Remain position should be vastly bolstered.

Looking at 3 very recent polls covering voting intention at the European elections, the current best way to strategically optimise the pro-Remain vote is to vote LibDems or Greens in England, SNP in Scotland, and Plaid Cymru in Wales. Change UK are a fading force at this point.
NOTE 1: I actually like the intention behind Change UK *a lot*. And maybe they can regroup and become a force in the future (I certainly hope so - we need more parties that shake things up in a positive way). But for *these* European elections, they look out of the picture.
NOTE 2: It's too simplistic to say "vote LibDems because they're ahead". On those sorts of figures, both they and the Greens stand a chance of getting an MEP each in several regions. Neither likely to get *2* MEPs in one region, so beyond a certain point it's wasted boosting one.

As the Tory numbers get worse and worse with every poll going into the European elections, I can't help thinking they missed a trick. Instead of contesting so half-heartedly they might as well not have bothered, they could possibly have been better served doing exactly that!
In other words, they could have gone with the narrative: "yes, circumstances forced us to hold the European elections but since we are going to deliver Brexit in short order we do not believe it's in the party's interest to contest them" and sat them out completely.
Pros: puts them on the front foot and might even stop some of the shift to the Brexit Party nationally (GEs matter much more) because it burnishes the Tory Party's Brexit credentials. ("Yes, we're *that* serious about Brexit."). Hard to calculate "real" collapse in support.

Amid reports that #UK PM @theresa_may hopes to renegotiate the "backstop" provision on the Northern Ireland border, let's recall that she already made clear what she wants in her letter to #EU leaders before disastrously losing the #Brexit Withdrawal Treaty ratification vote. 1/
"This could be mitigated by changes to the backstop itself," she wrote to @eucopresident & @JunckerEU "Proposals for a way in which the UK could choose to exit the backstop unilaterally were it ever to come into force, or for a hard time limit... 2/
on the duration of the usage of the backstop, have been raised and discussed in Parliament. We have also raised them previously in negotiations." So there are her proposals, i.e. the EU should basically just cave on backstop in face of House of Commons defeat. But but but ... 3/

Speakers of English around London and some other parts of the UK are often criticized for th-fronting, or pronouncing "th" as /f/ or /v/. But you know who else did this? The ancient Romans.
(Okay, it's not technically the Romans, but their ancestors. I'll get to that in a minute.)
