A thread on Jews who crap on Israel & other Jews: I've watched it for a while but I haven't said much. Mainly because of all wars, civil wars are the worst. And I'd rather hold my peace than join in a battle with my siblings. But its getting so bad that I cannot keep quiet.
I cannot fathom what makes someone want to take to a public platform and go hari kari on their own people. Gutting them & displaying their perceived flaws for all to see. Its not that i think we're beyond critique. I critique us all the time! I have an entire org dedicated to it
But I critique from love. From a want to make things better. And I WORK AT IT. I don't walk into a social media platform & explode suicide bomber style onto the feeds of thousands all the worst things I think of my people from a one sided, one dimensional, often foreign lens.
The damage caused by the initial post, the shares, the fodder given to antisemites --"see, she says it and she's a Jew!" is incalculable. And you're frauds, because if you REALLY wanted to make change, you'd volunteer, contribute & support the orgs & ppl making that change
Your self aggrandizing, vomitus screeds are vile precisely because you go after your own people while ingratiating yourself to those who hate us. You give them weapons and tools and you legitimize their hate with your own vitriol, while protecting your own tuchus & exposing ours
Its not enough that YOU choose to see only the worst in us, to focus on those things that still need fixing, but by doing so publicly, by pointing your nauseating self righteous fingers at us you give license to everyone else to use your words against us.
We who love and work to fix things cannot so easily forgive those who put targets on our backs while we do the heavy lifting. We who know that your warped and venomous takes are not even half the story, suffer from your hate and must work to cover ever more fronts because of you
I was silent. But I won't be anymore. You've chosen your positions and placed yourselves with our enemies. You don't see us as your people. It breaks my heart, but I won't bear that burden and standard when you've cast it off long ago.
