.@InvestorIndex1 created a list similar to ours, but just with venture investors (both individuals & firms).

We think that this is going to be useful to projects focused on a specific communities. This way they can identify investors who can be really helpful.
There are some interesting insights here. We missed them looking at the complete list:
.@A16Z is the only "top tier" VC, which ranked close to the top of the influence for BTC cluster. @sequoia (#10) @GreylockVC (#11) @foundersfund (#12) are behind much smaller and young firms, like @BoostVC (#6), @Amentum (#7), @blockchaincap (#8) and @TallyCapital (#9)
When it comes to individual investors BTC cluster is dominated by angels with @whalepanda on top. He is followed by @TraceMayer (#2), @bendavenport (#3), @alistairmilne (#4). Alistair seems to also run a hedge fund, though.
@nic__carter from @CastleIslandVC ranked as the most influential VC for BTC cluster (#4 overall). He is even higher than @barrysilbert (#5) from @DCGco and @CremeDeLaCrypto (#6) from @blockchaincap.
When it comes to firms, the strongest brands in the BTC cluster seem to belong to @DCGco #1, @PanteraCapital (#2) and @winklevosscap (#3).
The top 3 funds in ETH ranked: @A16Z, @Coinfund_io & @Amentum. However, their partners are not in the top of the list for individuals. @FEhrsam who ranked #1 runs @Paradigm and @cburniske’s (#4) @placeholdervc came #8. Does this mean that this funds should go up over time?
It looks like overall VC investors play a bigger role in the ETH community cluster, whereas BTC is dominated by individual angel investors.
The top firms in the XRP cluster are the usual suspects: @DCGco (#2), @a16z (#3) & @PanteraCapital (#4). One exception is @arringtonXRPcap, which ranked #1 for this cluster despite being outside of top 30 for all other clusters.
.@arrington (founder of @arringtonXRPcap) also ranked #1 in the XRP cluster among individual investors. #2 is @barrysilbert. More interestingly, @APompliano makes his appearance in the top 3 most influential individual investors for the XRP cluster.
In the overall crypto cluster, the top 3 firms are not a surprise: @PanteraCapital (#1), @DCGco (#2) & @a16z (#3). Interestingly, @winklevosscap is #5.
There is an interesting trend emerging from @InvestorIndex1 results: many firms, which ranked at the top don't have any partners who'd rank equally high. Consequently, some of the most influential investors come from less recognized funds.

The most influential people in crypto communities tend to be protocol developers and cryptographers.

They are usually followed by the most successful founders and well-known 'whales', who hold a significant portion of an overall supply of a given coin.
Bitcoin has the largest and the oldest community. It’s not a surprise, since the crypto list has been dominated by this community.

Having influence in BTC cluster will give one a higher position in the general crypto list than having equal influence in a smaller sub-cluster.

We just updated the results and @udiWertheimer is the fastest growing among the top 300. Again. His influence has been growing fast for a couple of weeks now.

We couldn’t figure out why. So we asked him. This lead us down a rabbit hole. (thread👇)
Udi thinks that this might have started with this old post:

He had described backdoors that were later used in @Bancor’s hack. This gave this piece a second life and Udi’s numbers took off.

What’s puzzling is that this kept on for such a long time.
The same thing happened before with @ricburton.



Not only he gained lots of followers right after speaking up against $EOS, but his numbers kept rising. He’s been among the fastest growing in top 300 for weeks now.

On this slow news day, here are some thoughts on how the new #OpportunityZones regs are a game-changer for investment in local operating businesses, as covered by @jimtankersley in today’s NYT.

The new regs cover lots of issues that will help the marketplace scale, diversify, and avoid abuse. But most importantly, they remove some of the most significant uncertainties that have held back investment in local entrepreneurs & businesses with growth potential.
Until now, Treasury’s guidance did little to facilitate local business investment, which Congressional leaders, community stakeholders, and outside advocates see as the core goal & promise of the #OpportunityZones initiative.

For those asking, what do I mean that bodies are socially constructed? Not that bodies don't exist only as ideas, but how we imagine them to exist is socially constructed.

What IS an organ?

How many organs are there?

Why am I a body or why do I have a body?
Why do we often imagine a body to one singular thing when there are billions of bacteria in us at all times that would leave us dead if they left?

What will it mean to imagine another organ?

These are all questions with interesting philosophical & practical implications.
