We just published a new list: the 300 most influential in Ethereum.

cryptoinfluencers.io

Big thanks to the Ethereum community members who provided feedback. Especially @PAMauric for putting us in touch with the relevant working group!

More lists are coming (thread👇)
The profiles also got a little update. Those that are ranked on both lists (general crypto and Ethereum) now have both ranks displayed on their profiles.

You can navigate using LEFT/RIGHT keys.

We are planning to expand the profiles with more data over the next weeks.
Now let’s take a look at results.

The first 4 spots are not a surprise.

@VitalikButerin ranked #1 (#3 in crypto)

@VladZamfir ranked #2 (#25 in crypto)

@ethereumJoseph ranked #3 (#47)

@gavofyork #4 (#57)
Things get interesting with #5 @avsa and #6 @el33th4

Emin ranks #16 in crypto. Alex ranks only #131. And yet, in Ethereum he is higher.

@avsa in fact gained the most compared to his position in crypto.

This led us to take a closer look at these differences (👇)
These accounts gained the most between crypto/Ethereum:

@Avsa #131 > #5
@BobSummerwill #180 > #9
@GeorgeAHallam #193 > #15
@Koeppelmann #163 > #14
@Zeligf #385 > #28

This makes sense. They are all deeply involved with Ethereum.
The same is true for the next 5 accounts that gained the most compared to their rank in Crypto.

@Nicksdjohnson #338 > #18
@Feindura #219 > #17
@Kumavis #403 > #31
@_jeffehh #183 > #16
@karl_dot_tech #226 > #13

The common thread here is that they are developers.
In the next 5 there are also devs (with exception of Joe Lubin):

@thegrifft #489 -> #34
@ethereumJoseph #47 -> #3
@Simondlr #103 -> #10
@Hudsonjameson #176 -> #7
@ChrJentzsch #336 -> #29
This naturally leads to a question: who gained the least compared to their crypto rank?

@Socrates1024 #44 > #33
@Breitwoman #232 > #160
@ArthurB #224 > #146
@iam_preethi #102 > #61
@wmougayar #135 > #80

This makes sense. They are also influential in other clusters.
This conclusion seems to hold when we look at the next 5:

@Yanroux #755 > #315
@Jcp #91 > #38
@AmberBaldet #77 > #33
@BrendanEich #222 > #102
@KyleSamani #209 > #99

While they are influential in Ethereum, they are clearly also influential in other clusters.
Prediction: in the future lists we'll see:

* Developers (esp. protocol devs) and foundation's team will rank disproportionally high.
* Investors and founders of successful projects that came out of these communities will rank proportionally low.

Any other guesses?
Good news if you liked Ethereum list: more are coming:

Bitcoin, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, EOS and so on.

We prioritize communities that provide us with feedback. This speeds up our process.

Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to help us map your community!
