Odd one, this, because I think we should have left – leaving the EU via withdrawal agreement was the most democratic outcome
So why isn't our system broken? Because I don't think a different system would have delivered it..

Ok, there's quite a bit of difference between my suggested tactical voting strategy for the European elections on Thursday, and those being circulated by others. You can see the various recommendations compared in the graphic below. I will comment more later in this thread...
Here's my original recommendation, in its own thread. It comes with some overall comments, then a region by region breakdown with an explanation of each of my choices.
COMMENTS ON THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RECOMMENDATIONS
1. My working assumption has been that "Labour" is *never* the right answer, not for a pure pro-Remain vote, even if that means risking an extra MEP potentially going to the Brexit Party.

Here's why I think that rather than piling the votes in to Labour or Tories, you should be piling your votes into a *range* of Pro-EU candidates at the next election. I'm going to use my region, the South West and Gibraltar as an example...
The breakdown in 2014 was roughly:

UKIP: 484k (33%)
Tory: 433k (30%)
Labour: 206k (14%)
Green: 166k (11.5%)
Lib Dem: 160k (11%)

There were of course others, but all small numbers and mostly independent so not particularly pertinent as it stands
Now it's super early days to understand exactly what will happen in public opinion nearer election day, but I'm going to...

... WITH A HUGE CAVEAT OF THIS BEING EXTREMELY HYPOTHETICAL ....

... use the April "Open Europe" poll to make assumptions, especially re: Brexit Party

2019:

add first time voters (75% of those who vote, vote for Labour)

Subtract 2% of the population, 80% of whom vote Tories!

Labour Landslide on the cards!
Lab’s share of vote could be 14.5+mn

Once we take into account first time voters- 16 or under at 2017

first time voters -never voted before, disenchanted by Blair years whilst

removing Tory support -loss of voters due to old age

=> Lab will gain 100+ seats from Tories alone

Despite her #BREXIT deal being defeated by biggest margin a government has lost a vote ever maybot seeks concessions on backstop despite being told to bog off by the EU with no realistic hope of a different answer
Corbyn meanwhile refuses to talk #BREXIT without no deal being ruled out despite knowing she can't do this whilst maybot makes no concessions either.
