This is a really good thought. And due to their classified nature, we wouldn't (I think) know whether, when or how those briefings were taking place. It does address my puzzlement on why Mueller doesn't just leave, and testify.
He would be testifying in classified process outside an AG's veto power, because it doesn't relate to a prosecution or declination decision.
The question just popped into my mind: "Would those briefings be de-classifiable in an impeachment inquiry?" I don't know the answer. But I hope Amash does accept Tlaib's invitation to co-sponsor a resolution to begin formal inquiry.

So I finally watched S8 #GOT - re-subscribed to HBO and binged it in the 2 days pre-finale. Apparently I disagree with lots of vocal folks, because I don’t think any of it was shocking or out of character. Rushed, though.
(Particularly given they had two years.) There could have been two full 8-ep seasons in those 6 eps.

I don’t get ppl who say “But Daenerys was never evil, only good!”

You were blinded by the blonde. The greatest evil grows in ppl who become convinced they can only do good.
Daenerys didn’t become evil simply because she was a Targaryen. She was driven mad by a lust for revenge. Every time prior seasons showed us a “Myhsa” good deed, they also showed us Daenerys acting out of personal revenge for a slight.

Nope. I’m not. Those are the schmoes you get from a GOP hobbled to theocracy.
But those are also the schmoes that are so unpopular, they have to cheat to win. Theocracy is loud, but not popular. Same with abortion bans and punishments.

The GOP used to be a party of personal responsibility and liberty. If democracy survives Trump, they need that back.
Or, you know, maybe they just blundered into it. It’s still a golden opportunity.

She calls them “drunk on God.” I think, on something else. Never forget that the same religion now seeking to comprehensively control women’s bodies believed that God granted them slaves to own. They also believe God granted them women to own. This is about human property.
No less than the humanity of women is at issue. Let’s say that creative minds on the Court reframe Roe that way - jettisoning the much-reviled privacy and trimester framework, replacing with right of bodily integrity and control for every person.
Both sides get their way (sort of) - Roe overruled, but replaced with better, stronger legal framework that makes abortion permanently legal and available nationwide, with the decision between a woman and her doctor, always.

The nonlawyers think I’m nuts. The lawyers don’t.

THREAD: A long litany of assumptions by well-meaning speculators who conduct helpful grassroots research, but are making some of the identical mistake as those who misread the Clinton email investigation made, errors born of a lack of professional experience in criminal defense.
Mistake #1: assuming the existence of FBI or DOJ activity equals a criminal investigation w/ intent to indict. This is *especially* true in political inquiries often meant to *prevent* a real criminal investigation, not conduct one. See Clinton email inquiry as classic example.
Mistake #2: assuming an indictment into a potential participant in the hoped-for investigation means there is a broad-scale investigation of everything that company did. That is actually rare. Indeed, existence of a public indictment usually means NO secret separate case to come.

Okay, so here's the other thread. I'm going to talk about a thing that's harmful, and why it's harmful, and how it can be fixed. I'm not interested in discussing the character of the people involved. You want to do that, there are plenty of those discussions going on elsewhere.
And I'm not saying those discussions are invalid. I *am* saying that they're a related but separate issue from the one I'm talking about, and I'm not interested in having this discussion get sidelined into one of them.
You're perfectly within your rights not to like those ground rules. But my thread, my space, my ground rules.

When #DemExit on #twitter & #FB was ongoing, I had a face2face discussion in #Fairfield of voter registration changes at the #JeffersonCounty court house. There were quite a few -- a direct consequence of #Bernie people being angry cuz they had seen SM fraud stories. #IaPolitics
3) I really saw damage from #TrumpRussia #IaCaucusFraud allegations in Oct 2016 going door-to-door in #Fairfield. The #DemVoter lists were "squishy." Lots of changed parties, lots of discussion of the #IaCaucus allegations of fraud and not voting #IaDem. #Mueller #iapolitics
