The world has become an interesting place. The internet has pulled down many barriers
that previously hindered us from building successful businesses. It is now easy to start and grow a business from the comfort of your kitchen.

And many of us do this through freelancing.

But as attractive as it sounds, you'll agree that freelancing in itself is stressful.
Because you charge clients per hour or per project and this still is you selling your time for money, the exact thing you are trying to avoid by looking away from the regular 9-5.

It sometimes puts you under a pressure and leaves you wondering if you are doing the right thing.
Well, wonder not no more.

Today, we'll see how to help you scale that game with a few nuggets that have worked for me. I saw it in mentors, copied and applied it. It worked.

First things first:

1. Stop calling yourself a freelancer!

Okay, I see you already raising your eyebrows. "What in the hell is he driving at? If I don't call myself a freelancer, what should I call myself then?"

Here: A BUSINESS!

Listen, you are not just a freelancer.
You are business. You've got bills that keeps your business going.

When you tell clients you are a freelancer, they immediately see you as an agent from Fiverr and will price you like shit.

You will also price yourself like shit.
But when you position yourself as a business, the game changes.

Stop calling yourself a freelancer, start calling yourself a business. I saw mentors do it, I copied them and did same. Works. Grab it?

2. Analyse your business and determine how much you need to run it and use that to determine the minimum you'll price your client.

Every business has running costs. OPex & CAPex. You need to think about how much it costs to run your business and never charge a client below that.
Don't get confused here. This is simply deciding how much will be your minimum regardless of the project. This will help elevate your mind.

3. Become a niche celebrity .

In January when I started the 30 Days to CopyMastery program, I hammered it to the students that in 2019,
One thing that will make one stand out is to become a niche celebrity. And today I am striking the hammer on the nail again... On your head!

Don't just be in that niche because others are there. Be there to take over. Be there to become number 1.

You don't sleep on duty.

Here's how to do this:

📌 Become visible. You can't be hiding and expect to be known. Get in the face of your ideal Customer.

📌Position yourself as an authority

📌Have a unique style and personality. Let your clients 'feel you're
There is a quote that says:

People may not remember what you said, but they sure as hell will remember how you made them feel.

Your clients will judge you based on their perception of you.

So you have to make the right impression on them.
4. Learn to nurture clients.

If you must charge by the fees, you can't just pick up the phone and ask a client to pay it. Except you are already well known in your niche and this client is desperate for results.

Aside that, nurture them. Build rapport and trust.
Make them see that you truly care about them and desire to see them succeed.

5. This one is tricky, but if done well, works well:

Have a calendar.

When you are still new in the game, you are desperate to get clients and so you run after every Tom, Dick and Harry.
But you should know that these clients need you more. They have a problem, you have the solution. They need you.

Of course, you need their money. But you need to make it more than just the money.

You can develop a calendar system where these clients book you, either
For a full day, or for long hours.

There is one particular guy killing the ecom game. I learnt this from him and I have seen it done by others and I do same now.

Try it. It works.
