New NRA president Carolyn Meadows is chair of largest Confederate memorial. Stone Mountain was the site of the 1915 second birth of the KKK. KKK rallies there continued into the 1950’s, when the state of Georgia bought the memorial. Her appeal to the Alt-Right and KKK is clear.
New NRA member Mark Geist was a then-46-year old military consultant who helped to help lose the US consulate in Benghazi. Right-wing fictional book and movie 13 Hours (often called ‘the Benghazi movie’) turned his failure into heroics, and a career.
New NRA director Anthony Colandro, chosen by NRA Brass, teaches Glock ‘skills’, & runs gun range near NYC, the second such member (Scott Bach is other). Is this an attack on NYC’s gun laws? On the governor & AG of NY State? Or simply an attempt to arm organized crime in NYC?
