The crap in medical journals about new drugs was written by PR firms of Big Pharma (per JAMA). If you allow them, doctors will add one drug after another, overdosing you, as most of them interact. In fact, most are processed by the exact same liver enzyme (called ‘3A4’).
And some drugs (‘inhibitors’) block up the metabolism of others. You get tons of drug interactions and vastly more side effects. Few doctors know anything about drug interactions. In fact, they will prescribe to treat the side effects they caused,
thus causing more interactions and side effects. This actually has a name – the #PrescribingCascade.
In 2018 a cohort study of 50K aging Veterans (VACS) noted that those on numerous medications vastly more (far more than expected by their ailments) ER visits, hospitalizations. early deaths, and other intense reactions.
I had to learn this all because drug interactions caused me to fall {‘orthostatic hypotension’), and smash my eye. I had to research it, and it turned out I was on numerous inhibitors. It took me a year, and many doctors, to replace those drugs with non-inhibitors.
So, this week, a new fool doctor (pardon the redundancy) tried to overdose me again. I refused the prescription. My pharmacy, Community @Walgreens, sent it to me anyway. And called the idiot, to tell him I might not take it.
Of course, I fired them both. Walgreens corporate office says I have no right to privacy. Neither do you. I recommend you do them same: #DumpWalgreens
