There are times when a person prays what they think God should do. Not bothering to find out what He wants to do in their situation.

Pastor Poju

What to do when it seems God is not responding to your prayers?

2 Corinthians 12:7

Paul’s torment was caused by pride.
2 Corinthians 12:8,9

People have said God answers in 3 ways - He either says YES, NO or NOT YET.

This is not true, but was said so that people won’t be upset with God.

Unanswered prayers could cause “depression.”

Multitudes are here.
We have to understand that what Satan means for evil God turns it around for good. For anyone to experience resurrection power, we must stop asking God just to take an unpleasant away.

Most prayers like this come from a place of fear.
God told Paul to come rather into purpose.
God said He would launch Paul into a new and higher purpose.

There is a power to walking with God through the valleys of life. We have been taught that we would not going through trouble.
Paul said he would take pleasure in his weakness, because he believed his inheritance in God will come to pass through what he was going through.

Sometimes He allows us to go through stuff so that His life can penetrate earth.

Hebrews 2:14,15
God wants us to go beyond having things into having a purpose.

Our unpleasant experiences make us purposeful after we have seen what God brings about through them. Sometimes it’s through these things that we can get into purpose.
God wants to show you things because many people are held in bondage to things that don’t matter.

It’s when we go through these things that we see these higher truths.

We are no longer teaching process. We are teaching avoidance of pain. This is why we don’t see God’s power.
John 9:1-3

If everything happens the way you want it you’ll have no message to teach. You’ll tell stories of how God converts unpleasant situations around, not by taking people to better places but by converting their wilderness into fruitful fields.

God needs storytellers.
First thing is to accept that you’re on a journey.

Isaiah 41:18

You’re going to a victorious place but the journey won’t be as you imagined it. You can’t control things around you.
Paul took pleasure in necessities & reproaches that the power of God may rest. 2 Cor 12:10
1 Corinthians 15:38 - 54
Genesis 50:20

This is the secret of resurrection.

“...sown in weakness, raises in power.”

Sow the unpleasant event into God, rejoicing. God will raise it in power.

Anything you see happening in people’s lives has come from the place of pain.
God will take you from a place where it is just about you to when you’ll be a source of life to many.

There is a song you’ll sing that will cause corruption to become incorruption. There’s a sound, after you’ve planted the painful situation into the ground.
Isaiah 32:13-15
Phil 1:19
Luke 21:13 - 19
Isaiah 35:4-6
Isaiah 55:7-13

A supply of the Spirit shall come into the situation as you sing and your eyes shall be open. Revelation will flow from the Word. Follow the instructions.
In times of pressure, enter into the holiest of all instead of pulling back. Go into His presence and sing songs to Him. Temporary setbacks are to show you what you’re missing. God’s plans are not like yours. Everything in crisis has destiny. God’s dream differs by far.
You could continue in success and be missing something. Surrender, enter into worship. You have no idea that what you’re doing with a small talent will result into something glorious.
