Thread 🚨: Water means life. Yet, there are poor/rural communities across SC dealing with water quality issues. Denmark is one of them. For over a decade a deadly chemical has been in their water supply. I attended a rally yesterday to help pass out water & speak with residents.
There are ways to leverage federal resources through the USDA Community Facilities Program to address the issue. @WhipClyburn 10-20-30 program also may be helpful in providing additional resources to assist. His staff has been on the ground meeting with them.
I asked several residents whether they had heard from Graham. Nothing! This is absolutely shameful! When I’m Senator, I will work & fight for all of SC & not just a select few! This is a poor community & many of them probably never voted for Graham but that shouldn’t matter.
The disaster in Denmark is example #1 that Graham doesn’t care about those suffering in the state. He is only focused on his own relevance. SC will no longer serve as his foot stool for political power! Y’all get ready because we are going to pack his bags & #SendLindseyHome
I also want to give a special shoutout to several of the Presidential campaigns that stepped up to help yesterday... @BernieSanders @ewarren @CoryBooker I can tell you the residents of Denmark were very appreciative of your help and generosity!
