Meanwhile Apple clips 30% of more revenues. If I was an app developer, I’d make this trade off as it’s increasingly a fixed game trying to use cookies/re targeting to build users/usage where the ad spend required to do so is concentrated in a duopoly market.
Those costs go up as a function of the need of the duopoly to meet increasing EPS targets. It’s a slow boiling frog...
This is the first announcement I’ve been thinking about over and over again since ApplePay and would put it on the same level of potential long term value.
The 1-2 punch to complement “Sign in with Apple” would be to also lobby governments around the world about the perils of privacy leakage to their democracies so these gvts act against the duopoly.
