House Intel has subpoenaed Michael Flynn + onetime Trump campaign deputy chair Rick Gates for records + congressional testimony. Intel Committee Chairman Schiff calls their failure to fully cooperate with Congress "simply unacceptable."

Reading about fascism today and the rise of Nazism. And this bit of information sticks out to me as something worth sharing about the danger of complacency in the face of authoritarianism. You prob know about it. If so, here is a reminder.
Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, was a major turning pt for Nazism.
Nazis played it publicly as a spontaneous evening of hate unfurled against 1000s of Jews due to the assassination of
a German political figure, when truly it was organized/encouraged by Nazi ldrshp.
The destruction of Jewish property, leaving broken glass to litter the streets, was not the only offense that night. It also resulted in murders, rapes and the removal of 30,000 Jewish people to concentration camps in the following days.

Judge Jackson in D.C. has unsealed dozens of pages of chat logs between Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort and news personality Sean Hannity.

President Trump's former business assoc. Felix Sater failed to show for his closed-door interview with House Intel this morning; Committee chair @RepAdamSchiff now planning on issuing a subpoena.
The committee wanted Sater to testify because of his proximity to Trump biz dealings in Russia. Recall, Sater once worked w/Michael Cohen when they were considering breaking ground on Trump prop in Moscow. That all fell apart, nothing went through. That said...
Sater is an interesting figure in the Mueller Report, where he was a witness. According to it, he helped arrange trips for Cohen + Trump to go to Russia; Russia had to bless the possible deal. He once wrote to Cohen: 'Our boy can become President of the USA & we can engineer it'

1. I spent a lot of email time over the past year trying to convince skeptical friends and colleagues that @POTUS is a man who seeks revenge when attacked, and that vengeance is coming.
2. I understood their impatience and skepticism that justice would ever be served to the legion of crooks we’ve come to know and despises, but building air-tight cases that will stand up in an (impartial) court of law and also the court of public opinion takes time.
3. We have learned much over the past months – far more than many of us ever dreamed or suspected – and none of which would have been made known had Shrillary succeeded in stealing her way to the Oval Office (like she stole the Democrat primary from Bernie; how ironic is that!).
