The key is the threat model. If your threat model is good, you will be able to answer to these questions:
- Do I care if an attacker can see the network requests?
- Do I care if my user is using a rooted device?
Whatever your threat model you should always obfuscate your code. It’s not a bullet proof protection but it will slow down an attacker:
- to steal your intellectual property
- to understand how your app is working
So how to be a better Android developer? Attack your app! You have to understand what an attacker is able to do

The new @NianticLabs game "Wizards Unite" is available in the US. This is the same thing than Pokemon Go but in the Harry Potter universe.

I did a basic test this morning and the first impression is quite good. I need to walk in the neighborhood to test it more 😏

@willoram @smoothimpact 3) Make sure everyone agrees, that resources are made available and that the task force given the responsibility to strengthen defenses, prevent reentry and mitigate risk has the necessary mandate. Keeping the crisis mgmt organisation active during this might be necessary.

i'm addressing a few different people here, and idk why I didn't say this sooner, but here it is: stop telling me "oh LGR did a video on that." I not only don't care, it makes me feel like dogshit.
I don't like his style, so I don't follow his channel. I have nothing against the guy personally but he doesn't interest me. But apparently he owns every single thing that has transistors in it, in all of history, fucking forever, and has sniped me on every single topic.
I literally can't post a video to my channel, or mention any device I find, ever, without at least two people telling me "oh LGR did a video on that." thanks. now i'm going to throw it away because you aren't going to watch my video on it.
