In 2015, I was an early supporter of & 2016 DNC delegate for Bernie Sanders. I am an immigration lawyer, and am active in progressive politics and causes. I live in NH, where politics literally spills into my backyard.

I now support @ewarren. #WinWithWarren

May I share why? 1/
I like, respect, and admire Bernie Sanders. To me, he’s a “values candidate”, and I am grateful for his contribution to moving the public discourse - and the Democratic platform - towards more just policies. 2/
But ... Elizabeth Warren @ewarren strikes me as the right person at the right time to lead what will be a long process of restoring some collective sanity and healing deep societal fissures in this country. 3/
There’s no one smarter, more principled, more empathetic, and more thoughtful on the national political stage. @ewarren ‘s story is the quintessential American success story, but it’s a narrative which is in danger of becoming a relic. She’s spent her whole career on that. 4/
Elizabeth Warren was born into a working poor family. But, as she shares, she came of age when being low-income still provided ample opportunity. Her dreams were attainable because there was far less economic injustice then than there is now. She wants girls & boys to dream. 5/
Like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren’s main focus is leveling the playing field for the majority of Americans who’ve seen their standard of living drop as wealth inequality becomes ever more disproportional. And, she has myriad plans to do just that. 6/
While these two candidates vie vigorously for the “progressive” vote in the Democratic primaries, they are not ideological rivals ... their approaches are nothing if not complementary. In the end, should their vision become reality, America would be the better for it. 7/
If 2016 taught us anything, it should have been to be able to discern friend from foe. We’re in an existential battle for the soul of this nation, and the greatest threat to victory in 2020 may be formation of a circular firing squad which leaves us depleted come crunch time. /8
Vet the contenders. Choose your candidate. Play up her or his strengths. But, please please please let’s keep our eye on the prize. And don’t let others - whether Third Way or schmoes like me - tell you how to vote ... or think. :-) /9
If you’ve read this far, thank you ... feel free to rip into me now. This snowflake can take it. 10/10 #Warren2020 #WinWithWarren
