This detail in the disturbing Verge story about Facebook content moderation has been bugging me. Iguanas, like most lizards, are incapable of vocalization. And like many lizards, they're able detach their tails when threatened. theverge.com/2019/6/19/1868…
The picture of kids whipping a screaming lizard around by its tail doesn't ring true given their biology. Add that to what other sources in the story claim about an "organ harvesting" video that's almost certainly false and you really start to question their reliability.
I have no doubt that content moderation at Facebook is a horrific affair and that Facebook is not doing a great job of it, it just seems like there could have been a little more skepticism around the sources' claims with this story.
