Dryer makers like Dyson and Xlerator typically claim their products operate around 85 dB. These figures are based on lab tests. But in real-world conditions - tiled bathrooms, hands in the airstream - the dryers are *several orders of magnitude* louder. washingtonpost.com/business/2019/…
We know this now thanks to the work of 13-year-old Nora Keegan of Alberta, who was so incensed by dryer noise that she measured the decibel output of dozens of them and got her results published in a scientific journal last month.

But we know these differences aren't just a function of geography. They reflect the characteristics of the people who live there, the collective accumulation of years of behavioral, social, economic and health differences.

💃1. kindness...this A-list actor has been nominated for an Oscar+awards in his long career and has been a DC superhero + a Marvel villain +even an indie superhero. He lives away from hollywood & shuns tabloid and social media so he's often overlooked til he pops up onscreen.
2. His love relationships have been sparse besides 1 marriage +1 high-profile romance with a big TV actress. Why? He fell in love with a nurse & within a year she had cancer. He loved her & devoted time to her care, taking her to treatment & being her rock. It went terminal.
3. He turned down big roles to stay with her & hold her hand til the end. She begged him to still work. During remission he'd lease jets to fly from sets to home & was never apart from her more than a few days. He paid her kids+even her ex-hubby's bills.😳
