/ #IKnewLeavingNeverlandWasBS when Stephanie Safechuck gave a Razzie worthy performance during LN & only showed actual emotion in her joy-filled stories of spending time w/ Michael Jackson, the man, to her, abused her son for years. Oddly she
/ doesn't show any actual emotion other than a couple reshot scenes of her speaking of MJ negatively. So some LN defenders have tried to justify WR/JS's stoic, emotionless, (& at the same time) amused/chuckling behavior as ranging from embarrassment to
/ restrained emotions. Never mind that these are 2 different ppl showing the exact same symptoms of emotionless/stoic/smiling/laughing/totally cool talking about their abuse & MJ. If you want to give me one of these guys, sure I'll take one but not both.
/ But let's get to what this thread is about, Stephanie Safechuck, James' mother. Holy sh*t. What the hell is going on w/ her in this film? Is she unaware of what she is being interviewed for? Some have pointed out that the reason they found this movie to be implausible is
/ becuz of the mothers' behavior in recounting their experiences w/ MJ. In no way shape or form would BOTH of these women (even the grandma for crying loud) be so joyful in speaking about their time they spent w/ MJ, or especially joking about certain
/ events directly involved w/ alleged abuse going on while they were there. I've looked through all of her interview & noticed she doesn't show any emotions thruout. Outside of her giving a serious face in believing she f**ked up as a mom & another reshot scene
/ at the tailend of Pt2 where she calls MJ a pedophile, she shows nothing at all. It's hard to even call it emotion as it's more just stern looks. & what the hell is she talking about w/ "The word says it all...pedophile." What the hell does that even mean? This is
/ literally one of the final lines in the film & is a manipulative way to make sure the viewer leaves the film w/ one final detail on their mind. Did you catch that this was a reshoot too? For those unfamiliar w/ wat reshoots are that's when you call your actors back
/ to shoot new or reshoot scenes when changes are made to the script or u want to improve on ur film based on 1st impressions. 2017's Justice League is probably one of the biggest offenders of reshoots. Did Reed really need to bring her back & shoot this scene of her speaking of
/ MJ negatively? Was she speaking too positively of MJ for Reed's liking? She says this like she knows it for a fact too but she certainly didn't behave that way when she was speaking so highly of MJ thruout. The most natural emotion she shows is in explaining the
/ times she got to spend w/ MJ, & in 1 case laughing about sneaking a peek to listen to what JS/MJ were talking about in his room when they hung out. Now if that's not clear, her son is now alleging he was being abused around the clock by MJ, in his
/ bedroom, in pre-built train stations, in a ranch filled w/ employees & cameras etc. & here this woman is delighted & hysterical about listening in at the time to what was happening when they hung out in his room. Your son is now saying he was being abused &
/ this is hilarious for you to reminisce about how you used to sneak a peek into what was going on. That is flat out crazy. 1 other small thing I noticed is interesting to me. When she gives her award worthy performance of talking about MJ dying she does this thing
/ where she looks to the side of the room in the middle of her performance. Did you catch it? It's a small little thing but bugs me becuz it reeks of "How does this look?" or "How's that?". I've seen her looking to the side of the room a few times in her
/ performance & I wonder what the heck she's looking at. I don't even know why I need to point it out because this film has bigger issues but both of these mothers (even the grandma for crying out loud) are laughing & smiling when talking about their time with MJ.
/ I find even the Grandma's behavior to be strange as well & I wonder if she had any clue at all about what they were doing a movie for. She's smiles & chuckles thruout in speaking of MJ but at the drop of a hat towards the end her demeanor does a complete 180
/ & she turns in a stern "MJ ruined a lot of lives." attitude. Wat is going on here? Did they tell her in the 2nd 1/2 of the interview that MJ abused Wade? So we've got WR & JS holding in laughter, the moms joyful, even the grandma speaking nicely of MJ
/ I've seen ppl giving countless excuses for WR & JS about their smiling, holding in laughter, emotionless recounting of their abuse, etc. Wat excuses do the mothers get to have? If ur going to ignore the provably false details from the film, are we ignoring this too? Can we
/ be done w/ this LN garbage & #HonorMJ for the good man that he was? Even these mothers can't hold in their genuine delight of spending time w/ MJ. But w/ wat theyre doing now, they did not deserve to spend the time w/ him that they did. MJ died thinking they were like family.
