This awful decision is a huge defeat for Republican, Democratic and Independent voters. Political party bosses controlling state legislatures gerrymander districts to preserve their own party’s power, telling most voters that their votes don’t count.

A congressional seat that is “safe” because of gerrymandering is very likely to be held by a person chosen by the gerrymandering party bosses, not by someone who cares about the voters. Voters have nowhere to go. Party bosses rule. Pathetic.
