In this thread, I will be comparing their stats from last season, try to look at both sides of the argument & give my personal opinion right at the end.

In the 2019/20 season, Wilson's priced increased to 8.0m while King stayed the same at 6.5m

Despite playing 439 fewer minutes, Wilson still managed to put up similar numbers compared to King's. That kind of result in the major difference in the last 2 stats

Neither of them exceeded their xG, in fact, both of them fell short, so I expect neither to regress this season

🍒THE VAR FACTOR🍒

Of course, VAR coming into the PL has to be taken into consideration. The handball rule change is another. So, I expect the number of pens to increase.

King takes pens for B'mouth, so that pulls the argument towards King's favour

🍒ROLE IN THE TEAM🍒

Every time both of them start together, B'mouth tend to line up in a front 2(either 4-4-2, 3-5-2 or 4-4-1-1), with the only deviation coming in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea when they played 4-3-3 with King on the wing

When they start together, Wilson completed 90 mins 14 times while King has completed 10 times. The surprsing fact is they only played 90 mins together 5 TIMES

Also, Wilson tend to take the role of the main striker while King takes the role of the support striker. Wilson blows him out of the water when it comes to open play goals and rightly so

That puts the argument in Wilson's favour

A key part of #FPL is the budget. We only have 100m to spend, so using it wisely is like a task.

The difference between the two strikers is 1.5m! 1m is justifiable, but 1.5m is a big difference. The extra cash can be used in other areas of the squad.

Let's look at it this way, if you pick King ahead of Wilson, it allows you to go Dubravka to Kepa & Anderson to Rich/Siggs. Fun right?

That major price difference pulls the argument back in King's favour

🍒WILSON'S ARGUMENTS🍒
- Higher point ceiling, despite not being on pens. Not expected to regress this season, since he didn't even perform up to his xG.

- Is the main striker, favored by the manager, more mins when they play together

🍒KING'S ARGUMENTS🍒

- VAR coming in PL next season, COULD be more pens & he is on pens

- Dirt cheap compared to Wilson

🍒MY OPINION🍒

Despite the higher price, I'll still be going for Wilson this season. Way more lethal than King if fit. I feel King is like the BTEC version of Wilson+pens (no disrespect).
