@msnweather Notice this chart shows deviations from NORMAL, or expected climatic temperatures. Yearly deviations, like in 2012, show no relationship to any human efforts to restrain the minimal #GlobalWarming of less than two degrees in two centuries.

@msnweather Most of the fires burning in Alaska [2018] are far out in wilderness. There is no need to send out fire crews to try containing them. The majority of the fires were started by lightning. Officials keep track of them but otherwise let nature run its course.
@msnweather 2018 “Overall #Alaska has seen half the number of #wildfires it gets in an average season, with significantly less acreage burned."
“It’s one of our lowest years in the last ten years,”
It's the third year in a row with a low fire season for the state.
@msnweather Don’t #ClimateAlarmists like #MaddieStone read their “sources”.
She said, "…temperatures rose to 92 degrees in Northway near the state’s Yukon border, smashing the all-time heat record set in 1942."
That’s not what #RickThoman said.

@msnweather “So it’s pretty clear that people aren’t judging what’s happened this summer from the World Meteorological Organization’s 1981 to 2010 normals, which is the standard.
... this was actually quite a mild summer, but not as mild as some of the recent years."
@msnweather In Northway, AK during July the average high temp. is 70.4°F.
The hottest day on record was July 11, 2011 when the temp. hit 97.0°F.
During July overnight temperature drops to an average of 48.9°F, with the lowest temperature of 32.0°F on July 1, 1981.
@msnweather The 1981–2010 Climate Normals are NCEI's latest three-decade averages of climatological variables, including temperature and precipitation.

@msnweather See if your locale is really showing any thirty-year #ClimateChange.
Climate Normals are the latest three-decade averages of climatological variables, including temperature & precipitation — that means historical weather, not continually tweaked “models”.
@msnweather A very extreme & rare early May [2019] Arctic cold outbreak (Arctic outbreak means the airmass originates from the Arctic region) is shaping up for large part of Europe.
Severe damaging morning frosts across many parts of east, central, western Europe
@msnweather While some scientists blamed climate change for these trends, the WMO said it is too early for such an attribution.
Classifying a heatwave varies from country to country. What is seen as extremely hot in one place may seem within normal range in another.
