As a previous foster child, I would like to know, why the hell I have never seen Democrats touring the facilities & conditions under which our own children are kept! I was in an old, dilapidated school built in 1917 — shut down due to staff having sex w/ fosters & giving 🚬/🍺. 
Our "bedroom" was an old group shower with partitions splitting it into 6 areas — drains still in the floor and metal caps covering where shower heads had previously been.
We certainly didn't have the amenities found at the HHS facilities for migrant children.

After the news broke & that facility was closed, 2 more were built to replace that 1 after lawmakers were pushed to increase $$. Now, the conditions, like many HHS facilities, are certainly livable & MUCH better than the facility I'm referring to, after living in it for 9 months.
Yet & still, that was only one problem facility. Unfortunately, there are still failing facilities w/kids living in them. HHS needs the funding & support, all around.
I understand needing to address the border crisis, but why is it that politicians don't care about our own?
