1. A quick response to the @etribune
story today on the BRT. I don't profess to claim that the BRT has been a faultless project, and it should be open to criticism.
But it is also important that any reporting on such a topic not be selective or one sided.

2. The ADB team visited KP in March at the request of the provincial govt, to help fix any flaws in the BRT. Overall, their view was; "we were appreciative of the renewed sense of dedication in ensuring the Peshawar BRT is with a high degree of quality and professionalism."
3. The ADB also noted that progress for a project of this complexity was satisfactory.

Unfortunately, the original deadline of completing the project in six months created the perception that the project was significantly more delayed than was actually the case.
4. Of course there were issues.
The political leadership of the province wanted ADB to give their independent perspective on these.
Post visit, the relevant BRT leadership was revamped, and to my knowledge P&D, PDA and the Transport Dept have resolved almost all of the issues.
5. This goes to the credit of those working on the project in difficult circumstances. The @etribune and its correspondent are more than welcome to confirm this with the ADB.
6. Note use of the term 'deadly flaws' with quotation marks to show attribution to ADB.
Can @etribune show use of these words even once in the referred document? Surely their excellent editorial standards would prevent them from making up such a headline just for sensationalism.
