URGENT APPEAL - Please read:

My cousin Lotanna is currently undergoing emergency medical treatment for end-stage renal disease (kidney failure). ☹️

He was diagnosed in July 2018 and has been on dialysis 3 times per week since January. He has also undergone 3 surgeries...
He has lost his job, house and medical insurance due to his health issues. He needs our help urgently...

Please help us to raise money for his treatment and living costs. All funds raised will help to cover his outstanding medical bills, future care and living expenses.

When did it all go wrong?
If I were a decent, normal Liberal I'd be very annoyed.

The right-wing will continue to gain steam globally as long as the other side continues to lose the plot, their morality and their decency.

Where that leads I don't know, but it's what's happening.
It's healthy to have both political 'sides' being functional and reasonable. They can see each other's blind spots...

It's far from the end of the world but the current situation isn't great in my estimation.

Trying to build bridges gets you attacked even. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Many people are bewildered by my Trump comment yesterday.

Let me make this as clear as possible...
Currently, Democrats are pushing late-term abortions, racial identity politics, curtailing freedom of speech, weak borders and allowing mass murderers to vote.

Trump says mean things on Twitter, pushes trade tariffs wants stricter border policy.
I'm getting a lot of:

'Waaah! He wants to throw kids in cages, build a wall and he said something rude 10 years ago!'

Right...

And the Dems ALL seem to think dismembering a soon to be born child is 'healthcare' and a 'right'.

These are not moral equivalents.

I was 16, when I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF.) I had no idea what was happening to me because at the time, it made no sense. However, I remember the pain of that period like noonday. I lived on dialysis until i was 22. #dialysis #OrganDonation #renalhealth
It took over my teenage years. I don’t remember having much of a life as a teenager because dialysis was 3x a week & every session was 4hrs. Add the time it takes to recover from being exhausted by the process, my day was pretty much over. #dialysis #OrganDonation #renalhealth

1. Meet Debbie Feinstein, the head of enforcement at the FTC under Obama. And a total catastrophe. More than most, she is responsible for high drug prices for allowing pharma mergers through. theintercept.com/2015/12/16/why…
2. I spoke with Feinstein once about her enforcement philosophy. She dismissed the concept that mergers, if they reduced wages, were anti-competitive. Where is she now after her stint under Obama allowing nearly every merger through? Of course, #BigLaw.
3. I bring her up because there was recently a merger in the dialysis industry which will raise prices on people with end stage renal disease. Yay price gouging for kidney failure. The FTC cleared it 3-2. And guess who represented the merging party? ftc.gov/news-events/pr…

THREAD: This week has been hectic for me, in part because of learning about Medicaid in IL, & coverage of "supportive care" for people under 65. The limitations are horrendous. I still don't know them all, but here's what I've learned so far--the hard way. /1
There are TWO TYPES of Medicaid. I don't know if this applies just to IL, but some research has told me it's the same in other states, just using different terms. In IL, there's "community Medicaid"--the standard version--& a form that applies only to "supportive care homes." /2
You have to be careful not to confuse "supportive care" with "assisted care." In IL, the second type of Medicaid only applies to "supportive care" facilities. Many of those sorts of places advertise as "assisted care" because they do not take Medicaid. /3
