Hey all! We have a sneak peak of our NBA team projections up, BUT these are gonna change a lot because we're working on a new valuation metric that should hopefully be ready in a few weeks. 53eig.ht/2Y3FoNr
CARMELO projections have historically been based on a combination of RPM (Real Plus-Minus) and BPM (Box Plus-Minus). We're creating our own stat to supplement/replace RPM/BPM that takes better advantage of player tracking data.
DRAYMOND, our new defensive stat based on opponents' shooting data, was our first step in that, but we're working on a whole bunch of other stuff that we think is pretty cool too. 53eig.ht/2LbgMfs
Although the work is only partly done, it seems pretty likely so far that our new metrics will like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George better than BPM/RPM, hence the Clippers will move up. The Rockets will probably move down since it's not so keen on Westbrook relative to other stats.
