This is what I've feared all along. Not the leaked emails. But the possibility that the People's Vote organisation won't actually explicitly back Remain in a People's Vote. I tweeted about this at the time of the million people march, and it's very sad to see I was likely right.
Why fear? Because they are so high profile and have so much support that they will have huge influence over any second referendum. If PV aren't explicitly pro-Remain, it will be like a sea anchor to the Remain cause.
This is why I made a point of avoiding the free People's Vote stickers that were being handed out at various points on the march. While most marchers carried pro-Remain placards, the main PV groups just wanted a PV. But PV is the means, not the end.
