-receives your name, profile picture, photos and email address via FB
-The company’s privacy policy ambiguously states how it can share data with its “Affiliates”
-The company is based in St. Petersburg, Russia 1/3
-“You grant FaceApp a perpetual, irrevocable royalty-free license to use, adapt, publish, distribute your user content in all media formats when you post or share”
-"hackers (and Russian gov by proxy) can cross-reference your face and phone info w the websites you’re using 2/3
-"Ariel Hochstadt told Daily Mail that hackers, who are not infrequently agents of the Russian government, can log the websites visited and “the activities they perform in those websites,” though they might not know the identity of the person being tracked." 3/3

"Darling? Is the wind blowing today? I'd like to watch television." Trump being deliberately stupid about green energy at CPAC.

Thread! Due to ignoramus Trump and poorly-informed pundits, too many Americans think the #ACA is nothing but the mandate, pre-existing coverage, and healthcare.gov. It's SO much more. If the O'Connor ruling stands, these items will disappear:
1) The Medicare Part-D doughnut hole that forced seniors to go without meds for part of the year is supposed to close by 2020 thanks to the #ACA. Repeal would re-open it.
2) Insurers *have to* cover maternity care, preventative care, mental health, lab tests, disability care...
...pediatric care including dental and vision, prescription drugs, ER visits, etc.
3) The #ACA eliminates annual and lifetime limits on coverage so you will always be covered regardless of health.
4) Establishes limits on how much you have to spend out of pocket...

This is why you must not ever install #FaceApp. I have tried to perform an autopsy of the long and boring terms of usage and the creepy privacy policy. Please read the entire thread if you care about your privacy
Faceapp not only tracks you, but the also allows the advertisers to track your content, which includes pretty much everything from your device including messages, photos, videos, list of other apps, billing information with your play store account
You also give faceapp irrevocable access for using, modifying, publishing and selling your 'content' once you install faceapp. Which means once you install the app, developers own pretty much everything on your phone.

Recall that your behavioural data may be used to support such commercial purposes such as advertising. Ask, what would my friend say about using her/his image?

If you use #FaceApp you are giving them a license to use your photos, your name, your username, and your likeness for any purpose including commercial purposes (like on a billboard or internet ad) -- see their Terms:

Do not. Do not. DO. NOT. agree to a facial recognition scan at any airport in the United States or Europe. It is a violation of privacy laws in the US and no law in the EEA requires you to. Do NOT just listen to the @TSA, @Delta, @JetBlue, etc agent telling you to.

They will not tell you it's optional. They will not tell you it's against existing privacy laws. They will not tell you that your face scan is sent to the same US agency that cages thousands of children without charges permanently.

They will not tell you that they have ZERO authority to try to make you. They will not produce a privacy policy on demand. They will not cite a law or policy directive that empowers them to request it. They may offer you a link to a policy buried somewhere no one could find.

3. but not really right either. Facebook's ginger embrace of European style legislation is making lemonade out of lemons. Zuckerberg would surely have preferred a world with no privacy legislation, where companies were left to self regulate, and market mechanisms predominated.
