In today's news from the wacko End Times cult that, for no obvious reason, the police seem to want to allow to block our streets. I'm guessing if they were Mother Earthers who said we'd be destroyed by volcanoes if all Tuesdays weren't made holidays, the police response'd differ.
It really is political cowardice that the "Extinction Rebellion" crowd are allowed to do what they do. Treating them as if they were some kind of intellectually or politically respectable group, instead of the End Times crazies that they are, only encourages & legitimises them.
If I were to park myself in the middle of the street, blocking the traffic, with a placard saying "This street is holy ground. The gods have decreed that if you drive along it humanity will be destroyed by giant hailstones", wld the police let me do it like Extinction Rebellion?
People talk about the Extinction Rebellion protestors as if they "had a point" or as if there were the slightest scientific or other objective basis for their claims. But there is none. They shld be treated & reported like we'd treat & report any other crazy End Times-ers.
