Like many watching Panorama on Labour-antisemitism, I was struck by the appalling, often racist banners which feature so regularly at 'Palestinian' events.

This thread will briefly examine the banners & speakers at just one event (9 Jun 2007), where the 2nd banner was seen. 1/7
This this horrific image and others like it are commonplace at these events on London streets.

Some of them follow Nazi propaganda and portray the Jews as non-human or less human.

Other banners accuse Israel of being an apartheid, racist, terrorist state. 2/7
Among the usual SWP & Palestine Solidarity Campaign banners were these:

Victory to the Intifada! Isolate the Zionist state.

Note the flag, showing a single state of 'Palestine'. These people only promote & support a one state - Palestine solution. 3/7
What else would you expect to see being paraded through the streets of London and festooning Lions at Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column?

Why not make it a family day out, flying the flag of Islamic Jihad. 4/7

Panorama antisemitism, Corbyn & extremists

The Hamas supporter shouting "if they deny you life, explode in their faces. It will be Jihad, Jihad and Jihad" is Azzamm (Kaboom) Tamimi, a 'Palestinian' 'academic', an ally & associate of Corbyn. 1/8
Tamimi freely admits he is close to Hamas & that this is well known.

'What's so wrong about me & Jeremy Corbyn attending a seminar or giving a joint lecture on the conflict in Palestine and how to resolve it [by Jihad & obliteration of Israel]'. 2/8
Of course exposing Corbyn's & Tamimi's links are all part of the 'right-wingers & the Zionist lobby are determined to undermine Corbyn & are lying to the public about his associations.'

Panorama antisemitism extremist thread II

'It is false to claim that he [Corbyn] he has associated with extremist groups.

Since when are Hezbollah, Fatah/Black September not considered extremists? 1/7
At the same meeting that Corbyn called Hamas friends, he also called Hussein El Hajj Hassan from Hezbollah a friend.

Hassan then got up and in front of Corbyn and others and said "the Israelis is like the Nazis" 2/7
What do (Iran's terrorist proxy) Hezbollah want?

'Therefore our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated. We recognize no treaty with it, no cease fire, and no peace agreements.'

Most of you have known seen the article by Mr Kleinman's article where Corbyn in 1982 called for the dissolution of Israel.

 The motion was *not* denying antisemitism. It is #Panorama who denied the "lived experience" of the many Jewish people in Labour who didn’t fit their narrative. And Joe Rayment sought to do the same by voting against the motion.

I was astounded to find that a researcher for this program focused on 'Labour Antisemitism' had never heard of Al Jazeeras 'The Lobby'. During a pre-screening phone call I explained what was revealed in that program, an infinitely more revealing expose than the BBCs effort. 2/
Armed w/ pages of notes, I knew what I wanted to say, including excellent input from twitter. But when it came to it, the chances I got were curtailed by the host. Others were given time for long speeches, I was cut off when I mentioned Jackie Walker. 3/

My thread on last night's #Panorama -- a deeply dishonest programme, repeating the same old lies about the manufactured Labour antisemitism "crisis".

Lies about Ken Livingstone, lies about Jackie Walker, lies about Raed Salah. Lies about practically everything.
#Panorama's hatchet job featured a veritable who's who of the right-wing, anti-Corbyn, anti-Palestinian cadres that've driven this fake crisis all along.

Yet *none* of these affiliations were disclosed in the programme. Some of these "brave whistle blowers" were not even named!

The way that #Panorama juxtapose the whistleblowers with those who have experienced antisemitism brings home how institutional racism - where processes are infected - has real victims. It’s *not* just about overt racism
I have met some of the Jewish people who have been interviewed and many more who have had similar experiences not just online but at meetings and in the party itself. It’s devastating. These are young idealistic activists who may never get over what they have seen
For people who have closely followed the Labour issue will recognise much of the #Panorama detail. But here it is in its full horrifying expanse.

Ranty thread about the Labour #antisemitism broiges:

1 "Racism" isn't a thing you are, it's a way in which you think. Research on unconscious racism (not to mention a century of anti-racist movements' experiences) suggests that many allies can and still think in racist ways.
2 The rightwing's tactic is to find these people and call them antisemites (and by implication as bad as nazis). The use of the noun form rather than the adjective "antisemitic" is important because it implies inability to change.
3 It effectively transforms the quality of "being racist" from a way of thinking into a disease with no cure. Obviously Livingstone, Willsman et al are not nazis, but it doesn't mean they also can't harbour some racist thinking.

Asa Winstanley's piece about "fake Labour accounts" that push #antisemitism to discredit the party has been widely shared. I don't doubt that goes on and state actors are most likely involved, but Asa's article seems to be a big hit with people who actually do hold a/s views. /1
These people, many Labour members, seem oblivious to the irony of blaming anonymous trolls, presumably acting on behalf of Israel or the Tories, for spreading antisemitic poison that they themselves regularly promote. One such character is Charles Chiverton of Mansfield CLP. /2
Like his fellow Mansfield CLP comrades Jeff Bowler and Roland Laycock, whose antisemitism I highlighted yesterday, Charles Chiverton believes the concerns about antisemitism in the Labour Party are largely a smear campaign to undermine pro-Corbyn and pro-Palestinian activists. /3
