With the hearings over, one thing is clearer than ever:

Formal impeachment proceedings are as righteous and required now as they were when we woke up.

More so.

The politics of impeachment can go fuck itself.
I continue to believe impeachment is right.

I know the political ramifications could be bad.

But I believe politics shouldn’t paralyze us.

And while I respect other views, to those who think donald trump will ever spend a day in jail:

I have a tower in Moscow to sell you.
My month-long moratorium on debating the merits of impeachment will continue indefinitely. Life’s too short.

Mueller’s testimony would be consequential no matter what.

But it shouldn’t be make or break.

Shouldn’t be the first in months.

Shouldn’t be the last on the horizon.

This moment has taken on an urgency only because Speaker Pelosi has prevented the House from doing its duty.

Mueller Investigation Report, Volume II: Obstruction of Justice.
2. The report starts off with a decline of the "binary" decision to prosecute or decline, because of the DOJ's opinion that indicting a sitting president would "impermissibly undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions."
3. Despite Mueller's opinion that a sitting president cannot be indicted, they conducted the factual investigation "when memories were fresh and documentary materials were available." The report EXPLICITLY states that "a president does not have immunity when he leaves office."
