Me : No. It was a gift. You don't give a gift to others and then expect payment for it. That's really not the point of giving.
I fully intend that when I finally shuttle off this mortal coil that I will have given far more than I have taken both from the present and the future.

The next major battle for the future of IT which will reshape the tech landscape (winners and losers) will take place around the spoken word - conversational programming - not yet, but soon. Industrialisation is pegged to start happening sometime around 2020 - 2023 ->
... for the majority of those who consider themselves leading technology users, you won't really notice this until 2030-2035 ... for those more traditional industries, it won't impact until 2045-2060. But the battle is starting soon for that future.
Conversational programming exists in the stack above serverless and AI ... it's a higher order system. Messing around with lower order components - virtualisation, containers etc will soon become antiquated. But remember, the last punch card system was still in operation in 2012.

In times like this, I want the UN to have a permanent and overwhelmingly destructive military force to be able to go into a region and force all sides to back down whilst humanitarian efforts are put in place ... I know, I know ... military solutions are not the answer ...

... so there would have been the option of a Lab / Lib pact if it hadn't been ruled out by the LibDems. The vast majority of Labour are concerned with austerity, investment in services and tackling inequality. Brexit is important but secondary to this ...

@RealChangeNews is holding a pro/con panel on initiatives 1631 and 1634. Opening statements are done, but in short, 1631 is the proposed carbon tax and 1634 is the proposed tax on groceries.
1631 is up. The pro side said that this is not a tax that oil and gas companies can fully pass onto consumers, so maybe they'll take a hit. Also acknowledges that the environmental side has not considered marginalized groups in the past (732 in 2016). This time is different.
The con side is up. He says that 1631 will hit consumers in the pocket.

Hitherto, making money online used to require you to have your own website, products to sell, with some marketing savvy.
But now, a new generation of dot.coms have arisen that PAY YOU for what you know and who you know without you having to be a Web designer or a marketing guru.
There are other people making money online besides Internet marketing experts. Yes, they are doing LEGITIMATE online businesses that are totally different from Yahoo yahoo that allow them to get paid.
