The President of the United States just read an empty, insincere speech off a teleprompter, completely ignored his responsibility, gave no solutions, and even named the wrong city where a slaughter took place and pundits are falling over themselves to give him credit.
Stop giving him credit for not falling down or uttering a racial slur. Stop rewarding empty spectacle. Stop treating the fate of the nation and the fate of the people like it’s a damn game. Be responsible, for god’s sake. Have more pride in your job.
At this point he could say a slur and some retread would get on after and say, Well, you know, I don’t care for it but you have to give him credit. He knows how to speak to his base.
What a disaster. What a chaotic, despicable disaster. We dug a hole as a culture and my god we’re going to keep digging, deaths and suffering be damned.
