It helps put everything in perspective when you realize the New World Order conspiracy powering the American Right is just a rebranding of the fabricated Jewish world domination narrative that powered European fascism in the early 20th century.
Also important to note the Elders of Zion text that inspired the theory was a fraud that was written to parody white supremacist manipulation and both European fascists and the American Right are at war with a projection of their own manipulations.
As ludicrous as these conspiracy theories are, they work, especially when extremely complicated and complex problems give demagogues the opening to offer simplified solutions with overt villains, always vulnerable populations, to blame.
This is why, with the rise of New World Order conspiracies, you saw an accompanying rise of Neo-Nazi movements within the US. It’s a thinly-veiled nod to a conspiracy by non-whites to overturn white supremacy, the exact plan supposedly at work with the Jewish “plan.”
This American wave of conspiracy incorporates the same elements as European fascism. Economic troubles, a loss of entitlement, even Right Wing, white identity Christianity as a vanguard against evil, Satanic forces. The pattern is undeniable.
