2. every journalist worth his/her salt knows the difference between an individual under investigation (allegations) and an individual who is supposed to stand trial (charges): to this day, the Swedish prosecutors have NOT decided whether to charge #Assange for rape (minor rape)
3. is it credible that the @crs4research does NOT know the difference between *allegations* and *charges*, considering the 1000s of press reports on the Julian #Assange Swedish case ?

1. ok, rispondo ora: dunque, l' "inchiesta" della #CNN su Julian #Assange è esclusivamente fondata sui dossier dell'azienda privata di spionaggio e security #UCGlobal, che ha spiato su Julian #Assange per anni.
2. già un anno fa avevo denunciato come questi dossier inverificabili fossero stati usati dal #Guardian, che però poi non ha continuato a pubblicarli. Ieri è arrivata la #CNN ed ha ripreso in mano i dossier.
3. immaginate se azienda di spionaggio privata spiasse su #CNN o #Guardian o #Repubblica, preparasse dossier la cui autenticità è impossibile da verificare, li facesse arrivare a un media e quest'ultimo le pubblicasse senza verificarle: è giornalismo?

Okay. Those of you who want an explainer about why Elizabeth Warren's answer on #nuclear weapons wasn't crazy - and is basically a restatement of current U.S. policy - here it comes. Those of you who think Liz Cheney is right, I can't help you. /1
So, Warren said she would not use U.S. nuclear weapons preemptively. This is a word that's not as obvious as it seems. But to understand this, you need to understand "first use" and "first strike" and "no first use." That requires a quick trip back to the Cold War. /2
During the "missile age," post-1960, the question was: "When is it okay to fire your missiles in retaliation for an attack on yourself?" The problem is that if you go too soon, you might be jumping the gun on just a warning, but if you go too late...well, you're too late. /3

@EricHolthaus Now let's talk about solutions. First of all, slow the bleeding. QUIT CLOSING #NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS. Oyster Creek shutting down is like taking a baseball bat to over 5 Ivanpah solar plants; it produced ~5400 GWh zero-GHG per year vs Ivanpah's 990 GWh.
@EricHolthaus The replacement power isn't coming from solar and wind, guys. It's coming from natural gas and coal. Solar and wind can't compete with the kind of reliable capacity factor Oyster Creek delivered 24/7.
@EricHolthaus #nuclear power stations that are "unprofitable" are largely so because of cheap natural gas + renewables forcing nuke operators to deal with negative electricity prices. atomicinsights.com/why-cant-exist… NG won't be cheap forever, but #climatechange will continue getting worse.

OK, so I guess I have to say something about my earlier tweet about the president and #nuclear weapons. I do not mean that I think the president will use nuclear weapons while he’s in the middle of rage tweeting. (As always, this is my personal view.) /1
Rather, I think it is important to remind the Trump supporters, constantly, that they elected someone whose job includes more than just triggering the libs. If Hillary or Obama were talking this way, Trump fans would have argued for committing them involuntarily. /2
I especially want Trump voters and GOP congressman to keep in their minds — again, constantly — that this president, like any POTUS, could be placed under immense emotional stress in a crisis at some point that *might not be about him* and on which our survival might depend. /3
