The two domestic topics where the media is the worst (or most biased) are guns and immigration. It isn't even close.
Another example is the coverage surrounded the deportation of a 41-year old Iraqi man. You can see from the link below how this story is being framed to cause outrage (even among many on the right). Meanwhile, there are a lot of facts missing.

Here was a good thread about the problems with these stories, that seem prevalent in immigration reporting:

The story is essentially framed around the claims of his family, but leaves out a lot of facts/important details.
It isn't until almost halfway through the piece that you even get a hint at why he was deported. This man, who was not here legally and had never pursued relief, had at least TWENTY convictions. He had 2 removal orders.
So now the media is suggesting that it isn't just wrong to remove people who are here illegally, but even those who are here illegally and consistently violate our laws. What kind of standard is that?
Oh and we still don't know the full details of the removal order because the article avoids them to instead have an general argument over whether undocumented Iraqi immigrants should be granted a special deferral status.

No idea if that would have even applied in this case.
Now that doesn't mean you can't/shouldn't have sympathy for this man, his family, and the situation. But you should also recognize the legal realities here and the media has a responsibility to objectively present readers with the facts free of this spin.
