So with everything that happened with my family and my health this summer, it's been a while since I was "on", on here, the way I used to be.

In the meantime, I have some new followers.

Hi, new followers!

I mentioned the other day I have notifications turned to the highest level of filtering, which means I don't see a lot of replies. I tend to check for them manually when I'm making a thread, though.

I write threads on Twitter. That's what I do. It's how I went from having like 3,700 followers to having like 37,000, and generally climbing.

The threads may be about Transformers or Muppets or politics. They may be about philosophical thought experiments, or game design.

And here's the thing: you have the power to mute a thread, to mute me for an hour or longer, or to unfollow me, or just scroll past, if you're not interested in what I'm threading about.

You're entitled to have any kind of opinion you want about the things I'm threading about and how much depth I go into them, and to take actions accordingly. Absolutely no hard feelings. I'm not going to tell you what to do with your Twitter account.

but that's a two way street.

What I'm saying is, if you're replying to me to tell me that you think I'm wasting my time, or "you're thinking about this too much", or whatever... you are absolutely in the wrong place, and I will do my very best to help you out of it.
