Israel barred Omar and Tlaib in 2017 when the Knesset passed a law barring BDS activists entry. They advocate BDS and are therefore barred from e try.
I don't know if it would be egregious if they came from a PR perspective, But it would be from a legal one. The law is clear and we need to respect it.
To be clear, these women are vicious anti-Semites. They intend to visit Israel in order to cause it harm. They deserve no quarter and certainly preferring the law to their privilege as US lawmakers is the reasonable and responsible move.
I would expect lawmakers including @RepEliotEngel and @NitaLowey to support such a decision. And Israeli lawmakers including @Likud_Party and @Ayelet__Shaked should be speaking out and standing up for Israeli law.
Israel just hosted 31 Democratic members of Congress last week. So this isn't partisan. This is a law and order issue.
Sorry, my bad. It was 41 Democrats.
Tlaib and Omar's plan to visit "occupied Palestine,"put Israel in a lose-lose position. I say, if you're going to get hurt no matter what, at least you shouldn't give your enemy what he/she wants. They wanted to come to hurt Israel. So Israel barred them from doing so. Good.
