Thread: Exactly what I have been saying since beginning. To those of you who say Comey is "scared", "embarrassed". He confirmed today that he has never been either. He's taking victory lap and no one on the left will think he's done anything wrong.
Horowitz did a great job. I appreciate that so much. But exposure just isn't enough. Andy McCarthy just finished saying that indictments aren't the point. Let's just change laws.
I've got news for all you swampy lawyers and commentators. Unless these people are punished, nothing will change. I know we've got other IG reports coming but Comey's reaction to this tells the story.
These people have operated in rarified, elitist spheres for ages. They are unelected and untouchable. Trump cannot do much more than he's doing to drain the swamp. He needs the DOJ to slam the hammer on these people.
But all I hear is that Barr is rule of law and doesn't want to appear to be political. I well understand the legal arguments for not convicting Comey on these leaks. I get it. I'm educated. I follow.
But, simply put, every day Americans are not afforded the same leeway as are these elites. Americans deserve better than to see the likes of Clinton, Comey, McCabe appearing here and elsewhere effectively rubbing our faces in their doo doo.
It's offensive and depleting to the spirit and our government should be better than this. I'm not interested in hearing how I'm concern trolling here either. It's frustrating for average hardworking people -
To not only see them live scot free but to be subjected to their calls for apologies for being wrongly maligned is a bridge too far.
Having said that, I cannot and will not give up hope. I pray to God Barr and Durham and Huber get their ducks in order and forcefully hammer these people with the full weight of the law in some way shape or form.
If they do not, I will never trust our government again. So go ahead Andrew McCarthy and whoever else- and tell us that changing laws is what matters-- but laws and rules sure didn't matter to them before-
So changing them ain't gonna change their behavior. Rather, just more laws and rules for them to mock- while we the people are fined, jailed and punished for identical behavior.
And, btw, it ain't just a "few at the top" doing this crap. You can't move the mountains they moved to try to take down our duly elected President @realDonaldTrump without many, many smaller cogs in the wheels of corruption.
So yeah, I hope the morale in the FBI, DOJ and other agencies is sufficiently low for them to employ a little self reflection so that the people at the top are not so easily aided and abetted in their plans and schemes.
These people are a wily bunch and if they go unpunished then woe to all who are powerless to change the continuing parade of misdeeds and corrupt behavior.
