Odessa law enforcement are now confident that there was only one shooter yesterday. They are certain that he acted alone.

Police said they do not want to publicize his name because they don't want to give him notoriety.

No obvious motive yet.
(This is per a press conference being aired now on OANN)
No obvious motive - then maybe he didn't have a warrant or drugs on him. (That was my guess yesterday being it started with a traffic stop).

Las Vegas poker player was indicted on a terrorism charge for making threats against Vegas casinos.

He was kicked out of a few casinos - one for trying to lure a boy to his room, others for exposing himself, and finally arrested at the Trump Hotel.

Interesting. The swine flu outbreak in #China that's killed millions of pigs there is also causing a shortage of anti-clotting drug Heparin, though FDA says there's still enough supply.

Most of Heparin's active ingredient comes from China.

I’ll bet he had a warrant and/or drugs on him. Looks like trooper tried to stop a vehicle, someone in vehicle shot the trooper & took off and shot someone else. Somewhere along the line, they stopped and stole or hijacked a USPS truck & kept shooting at people until he was shot.

No confirmation yet that there was a 2nd suspect.

Police sent a SWAT team to conduct a search. They knew their suspect was already in custody. When a woman didn't unlock the door quickly enough, they threw a flash-bang into the living room, near a 2-year-old, starting a fire.

8th Cir.: And that was excessive force.

At the outset of the #Brexit process, most people assumed that a deal on #police and #judicial co-operation was easier to get than one on #trade. Time has shown this is not the case. Ongoing co-op on #JHA is one of the few items yet to be agreed on #withdrawal deal. Why?
Well, because the #EU and #UK's opening positions in the #negotiation are incompatible: Britain wants a #bespoke agreement with the EU, a la #Schengen, but is not willing to accept #ECJ or #EUCharter. EU wants to replicate existing models. What to do?

1/ First, understand that "agent" is a legal term. An "agent" is a person authorized by another person to act in their stead—and with their authority—in performing a task. If the authorization is for a specific task, the agent is a "special agent." If general, a "general agent."
2/ Sometimes, a "principal"—the person who authorizes an agent to act in their stead—will authorize his or her "agent" to *themselves* use new agents in the performance of their authorized task. So, Principal A may authorize Agent B to use various sub-agents to accomplish a task.
