I ordered abortion pills from @AidAccessUSA to see what the process is like (not actually pregnant!). They just arrived at my house today, a minute ago.

Here's what it took:

August 11: Filled out the online consultation at aidaccess.org to request the pills.
@AidAccessUSA August 13: Received a follow up email from them asking if I still wanted help. I said yes.

August 14: They requested that I send them proof of ID. I send my NY driver's license.
@AidAccessUSA August 14: They emailed me information about how to send payment (80 euro). That part was the most complicated, since they request that you go through a third party transfer site. They request a screen shot to confirm payment.
@AidAccessUSA August 15: Confirmation of money transfer. Confirmation of payment. The @AidAccessUSA doctor sent me a prescription for the pills and an email address to forward them to.

August 16: The @AidAccessUSA emails thorough instructions for how to use the abortion pills.
@AidAccessUSA August 16: I receive tracking information for my package!

September 4: The package arrives at my door, and I have to sign for it. Inside is 1 mifepristone and 8 misoprostol.

It wasn't difficult, but it did take quite a while to arrive.
@AidAccessUSA I can imagine being pretty anxious waiting if I actually needed to use the pills, and seeing that it was stuck in customs for a week. Glad this service exists, yet also wish it was faster and more user-friendly.
@AidAccessUSA People want to self-manage their abortions (ie, have an abortion at home, instead of at a clinic) for many reasons. I hope this thread demystifies ordering the pills online for anyone considering it. And if you need more support, @WomenHelpOrg is a great place to turn, too.
